“The room was very tired, wobbly floorboards, causing the wardrobe to rattle excessively. The bathroom again was tired, the shower was cold. Broken toilet roll holder. It was clean though. We were hardly in the room anyway, so it did what was needed. The fire alarm went off on the first night, which wasn't a nice wake up call. Luckily it was just someone vaping in their room. The staff were friendly though . I'm was about a 25 minute walk from the station there's a bus also. No 3 heworth cafe was...

“Beautiful hotel and staff”

“Father and son stopover after two days of hiking during a long drive home. The Wellington Hotel was exactly what we needed — easy check‑in, no fuss, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a genuinely tasty breakfast that set us up for the rest of the journey. Simple, welcoming, and spot‑on. Highly recommended.”

“Room Comfortable, Noise could be heard from adjoining rooms though the hotel did provide earplugs. Good choice of beers in the bar and the Korean food provider served delicious food”

“In summary we would possibly stay again but definitely not eat there!! Lovely large room and comfortable king size bed had a good nights sleep, tea and coffee in room and shower was good however limited menu in pub (Marston’s) especially for vegetarians, we had an evening meal and breakfast both were poor quality and therefore not good value. We had booked and messaged property through Expedia to say we were bringing our dog but this message didn’t get sent to them so when we arrived their 2...

“Just came back after a 2-night stay. The place was easy enough to find and we didn’t struggle for parking either, location is great. However, as it is self check-in there isn’t anyone around. Everything is done via text messages and code locks. The first room we were given hadn’t been cleaned at all after the previous guests had left. I let the person at the other end of the text messages know, and we were “upgraded” to another room (slightly larger and had a bathtub instead of a shower). This ...

“The Arms is a beautiful hotel, well maintained, in great shape, lovely staff and food and a nice room. The ONLY thing I would point out is that the tv channel options were limited and as my wife and I were fresh to the timezone it would have been nice to have some more channel choices when we couldn’t sleep.”

“This is my favourite place to stay. Clean rooms with everything you need for a short stay. The food is amazing and plenty of choice. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Highly recommend”

“Really good stay at York, great location so close to city center”

“Nice little cottage at a decent price, lovely owners. Bed was comfortable and it was useful having a kitchenette. Place had a few problems (such as the shower making the whole room wet and the extractor fan being broken) but was generally ok, but would have liked it to be cleaner (blood on headboard, hair on pillow, mould in shower, rather dusty in places, fridge could have been cleaner and tv handsets looked a biohazard!)”

“Comodo parcheggio. Stanza basica. Bagno in corridoio in comune con altre due stanze. Se avete problemi con i rumori tenete conto che la stanza è sopra ad un pub.”

“We asked for aground floor as we do not do well with steps and they put us in an annex which was obviously new and was just right for us. Our fault that we didn't ask for clean towels etc. The staff are all very welcoming and the meals variable and very enjoyable.”

“Great attention from the personnel. Monica was really nice and helpful”

“Excelente desayuno y mejor atención. Solo un problemita que fue solucionado inmediatamente ”
