We spent two nights here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the perfect setting peaceful, cozy, and right by the water. The atmosphere made the whole trip feel special; quiet mornings by the lake and relaxed evenings made it easy just to enjoy being together. A lovely, low-key getaway we'd happily do again!
This was a good place to stay for one night before heading into Algonquin park for some camping! Riverfront rooms have a nice view and places to sit outside.

This was a nice get away, very quiet, peaceful, we especially appreciated the fact that there was a firepit for every room just out the door on a beach.
However, it was a bit of a surprise that it looked just somewhat like the pictures. The property has a great potential and could use some update.
We got caught in traffic and had to check in late. The staff were so accommodating and understanding. The property is so pretty and right on the water. I'm definitely coming back.

Lovely location, with clean cabins, although quite well worn. The lake was gorgeous and we enjoyed a nice swim after our travels. We enjoyed our stay and had no significant issues.

We love that you’re right on the water… You could see the lake from our sliding door.. it seems like the room was just redone.. We will be back!
Our stay at the resort was fun and enjoyable. The lake view was great. The staff were great and very accommodating especially Mike & Kai.
However during our stay there was a power failure from around 4pm to 10pm. The resort does not have back up generator so there was no water as well.. They have to provide us with 2 jugs of water for our use. Over
Staff very friendly when checking in. Property looked a little neglected. Weeds everywhere, grass not cut. A/C working good. Bed was comfortable enough. Great location between Huntsville and Algonquin Park. A thorough cleaning, some paint here and there, cleaning of bbq’s on the common deck and I would rate it higher.
It was just okay. NOT worth $295.00/night.
The room was very impersonal and cold.
The A/C was left ON for a very cool raining day. When I walking in was greeted by a fridge sensation atmosphere. The website pictures of the place did NOT make justice to the real place as a cozy and warm room. The fireplace was NOT working to give it a sense of warmth, also no microwave to make a cup of tea or cook packed foods, and the restaurant at the property was also NOT open. I had to drive out looking for a place to eat.
Not worth the money. Wouldn’t stay there again or recommend.

Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Great sitting outside and looking at lake. Outside needs work. Gardens weeded, grass needs to be cut. Weeds need to be removed from interlocking brick. Wood needs replaced on privacy fences
The Staff were extremely helpful and lovely to deal with. Our room was right on the water which was amazing and peaceful. The small thing was that we had to ask for gave cloths and there was no body wash. To me, these are small things as I always bring my own anyway. I would definitely go back!!
The room was clean other than spiders and webs in the corners of the room. Not well maintained outside. You open your door to the back area and don’t look up cause it is dirty/gross, webs, dead bugs. They don’t really take pride of the outside of this place.
Our air conditioner sounded like it was going to die any minute.

Booked one night stay to attend a celebration of life in Algonquin Park. The room served its purpose. The building is rustic with a lot of potential. Lakeside had a great view of Oxtongue Lake. Water was clear. Amenities available for gathering as a group and BBQ's also available. Would recommend.
Excellent location next to the park with perfect lake views. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, always ready to help.

Me and my wife stayed for one night and before booking I was concerned re some of the reviews. It looks to me that the owners are trying to restart this property. It definetly could be a great destination. This property with its location provides a great launching base for all type of travelers heading into Algonquin Park. We stayed in the motel rooms over looking the lake. The rooms along that side have been fully renovated inside and was spotless. New bathroom, flooring and furniture all of it new!
It was perfect for our needs as we canoue out of the outfitters across the road the next day. For this purpose I highly recommend this place. As for the grounds they do need work and once they achieve this then it would be great for longer stays. If you want to start and end your Algonquin Park experience with a clean shower, bed and a relaxing night then I highly recommend this place.
It's such a beautiful spot for a getaway! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the views are gorgeous. It was our second time staying and we will be back again.
