The historical ambiance of the house was so stunning! We used the 4th floor room, which was huge, and beautifully decorated. The only down side was no elevator, so dragging a 50 lb suitcase up 4 flights of stairs is no easy task! Even though, I still would absolutely recommend this property!!

Timeless comfort. Really enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful inn. The location is perfect - near the park and Lark street. Walking distance to a great restaurant (Rain), a liquor store and a cosy bookshop. What more could you need? The host greeted us warmly and we were given run of the house. Then we went to our room…words fail me. We were on the top floor (an impressive number of stairs but worth every step). The room had gorgeous skylights, warm brick walls, tall ceilings and light, light and light. It was the perfect mix of historic homeyness and modern comforts. Everything was perfect and our only regret is that we only stayed one night.

This is a lovely bnb in an old brownstone, walking distance to the MVP Arena and a lot of nice restaurants, bars, coffee. It is a bit dated and could use some sprucing, but we loved the room (4 Garden is a "wow") and the snacks and breakfast were great. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our visit the exquisite Morgan State House Inn. We stayed in the annexed studio apartment 3 doors down, with a handy kitchenette. The room was immaculate and well appointed with period details. It was still wintery, so we appreciated having control over the radiator (we prefer a cooler room). Continental breakfast in the main inn was simple - the baked goods were so delicious. The staff were kind and helpful. We would definitely book again.

Lovely old house, friendly staff, loved it!

Really charming old, well-kept house with a lovely garden, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again, if we come back to Albany!
