Hotel De Bentley? More Like Hotel They Bend You Over.
I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Hotel De Bentley. The hotel advertised amenities online that were simply not available when I arrived.
There was no Wi-Fi available, despite Wi-Fi being advertised. The pool was disgusting—half-filled with water with algae throughout it, making it completely unusable.
They advertised a beautiful, fully equipped-looking gym online, but there was no gym at all. They also showed a beautiful lobby where guests could relax, hang out, and take pictures, but that lobby was nowhere to be found.
They also advertised a 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport, which was one of the reasons I booked this hotel. However, there was no transportation available when I arrived. The shuttle only seemed to be available when I was leaving, which was extremely inconvenient and misleading.
These amenities were a big part of why I chose this hotel. What was advertised online was definitely not what I experienced in person.
The one positive thing I can say is that the staff were wonderful. They were very kind, friendly, respectful, and helpful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, good staff cannot make up for amenities being advertised that simply aren’t available.
If you’re booking based on the pictures and advertised amenities, be very careful—you may not be getting what you think you’re paying for.
