“There was no staff. We did not see a single person during our stay. Everything was key coded. Parking was good. Room was clean. “Breakfast” was stale as it was pre-packaged food left on the bed upon arrival.”

“Kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, milk and jam, which was lovely but there was NO tea or coffee. However, given how dirty some of the mugs were, that probably wasn't a bad thing. There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush. “We absolutely loved our stay at Fern cottage. Such a beautiful cottage and very comfortable. The beach was just around the corner a minutes walk away. We would definitely stay again. ”

“On arrival you are confronted with building work around the main entrance and a very tired looking reception. (July 2026) The rooms are basic relatively clean but bathroom in our room was tiny. If you have long legs you will never be able to use the toilet comfortably because the shower cubicle is approximately 18 inches from the pan.
