This was one of the most fabulous places too stay. The beds are so comfortable, you also have a parking garage that is protected by cameras and you are right down town on Main Street so you can walk to breakfast and shopping etc. We will definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect. We will look to stay at the Alonzo every time we’re in town going forward. We loved Roma, the restaurant attached to the hotel. Fantastic and authentic Italian food.

We loved our stay. The hotel still has the feel of the old time granduer but very updated & special. The room was very quiet; the bed very comfortable; and the bathroom large with a great shower. Checking in the lady was very nice. I’m sorry we didn’t feel any ghosts. We recommend the hotel highly.

I love how they’ve updated everything but kept the old style. The bathtub was deep enough and the room was super clean. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful as well.

The uniqueness of the building, the dining in the building, great room, friendly staff, the breakfast that was available. The only negative issue was the window, it would have been nice to overlook the street but it overlooked a side parking lot. Enjoyed the stay will stay there again.

Best deal in town! Amazing rate for essentially a brand new hotel inside an historic hotel. The super 8 was $45 more for a night-no thank you! The bed was extremely comfortable, pretty pillows and decor. Will definitely stay here again.

We had a late check-in planned (around midnight) and called to let staff know the day before. Sarah advised this was not a problem and to call when we arrived, and she would explain how to get in and find the key for our room. We were able to make it about 2 hours earlier and called; Sarah guided us into the hotel and told us where to find the key. She was terrific! Even tho it had to be a hassle to deal with our late check-in, she was very kind, considerate and super helpful! She deserves a raise ;) The room itself was lovely, clean and inviting. The bed was VERY comfortable and even the pillows were great - not the usual flat, useless variety. The hotel still has a lot of the features it must have had from the past (older elevator, wooden doors, double lobby doors with glass, etc.), beautiful. We can't say enough positive things about our stay. Loved it! Can't wait to stay there again!

Very convenient hotel with spacious rooms , comfortable beds, amenities such as a fridge in the room, renovated bathrooms; courtesy coffee & muffins & toast in a lounge area in the morning ; I only missed a table and a chair - none in the room or in the lounge area - difficult if you need to work on a computer

Parking ramp available, very clean rooms, could use newer bedspreads (ours was ripped), and no counter space to put items in the bathroom or bedroom. The staff is very sweet but only cold prepackaged food for breakfast. There are some local breakfast places down the street but the local restaurants close by are not open on Sundays. Would stay there again for sure!
