“I stay here every two weeks for work and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It’s the perfect balance between hotel functionality and the warmth of a home in the heart of Leicester. The best part: The peace and quiet for resting, the convenience of having my own kitchen, the location, and a team that always makes you feel welcome.”

“Buena ubicación ”

“Muy bien todo. Lo único negativo es el ruido de los huéspedes porque las paredes son muy finos y se oye todo el ruido de la gente caminando y cerrando las puertas. ”

“Toooooo hot in the room. No A/C available; only an old fan moving the hot air. Difficult to breathe. Very very little room, without table and chair to work (in my case) or to seat in a place different to the bed. I ask in reception to change my room; nothing else available. They took me a table and 1 chair, so I couldn't move in the room. Weak wi-fi line ”

“The accommodation, though clean, is very tired. The leatherette headboard was worn and needed replacing. The television reception was poor with no signal at times. The bathroom suite was old with mildew around the bath. The restaurant and bar were comfortable and traditional. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was no problem changing the chicken curry brought to the table for the vegetarian one I actually ordered! The new menu is not an improvement and we wouldn't eat in again. I...

“My daughter grand daughter and myself stayed for one night , the staff were friendly and helpful , the room was lovely and well stocked with ect breakfast was also very good, they also arranged a cab for us to take us to the event we had booked. In all we had a lovely trip . A very enjoyable time. Many thanks to the staff from me and my family . Thank you”

“En la foto aparece un edificio muy noble pero la habitación estaba en un anexo que no tenía nada que ver.”

“Very nice traditional hotel, has a lot of character. The rooms are a tad dated but fit the atmosphere of the building. Really comfy beds and we had memory foam pillows on a big bed. It is also a restaurant but we didn't eat here, but it smells very nice. Would very much stay here again for the price”

“Because we booked with Expedia they tried to charge us for two days parking, we refused to pay extra and reluctantly they retracted the parking charge. They said if we booked on the Ibis website there would be no parking fee.”

“El ascensor no sirve. Le pedí me ayude con habitación en primer piso y dijeron que sí pero después me fueron en el piso 2. Muy sucio. Mucha bulla. El personal nunca me ayudó aunque tengo un problema de espalda. Nunca regresaría!! Terrible!! ”

“I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. The bathroom was fine and the tea/coffee making facilities were...

“Bit of a gamble as we’d never been before but was booked as a last minute weekend away without breaking the bank. Excellent communication post booking and a very warm welcome upon arrival from Julia on reception. Room was clean, bed extremely comfortable and a decent selection of emergency toiletries. Good parking. Relaxed breakfast with a variety of tasty choices. Would definitely stay again if in this area.”

“Lovely hotel, friendly staff, excellent breakfast!”
