I think the advert is a bit misleading as the pictures all show the best room and not all rooms have views to the river as the images show and kitchen etc is shared. That said, because we had a better room and no-one else there we had a wonderful time with the whole space to ourselves, great facilities (although bathroom a bit dated) very comfortable bed, lovely sitting are and well equipped kitchen. “We stayed in the treehouse and there was barely enough room to fit our bags beside the bed. Despite keeping the door shut, except when exiting/entering to have a shower, there were a lot of bugs that made their way inside and they stung me. The bed was also not very comfortable so it wasn't a very good sleep.”

“Rooms and hotel in general were beautifully clean. Lots of memorabilia though out there hotel. Only downsides was a very hard mattress and not a lot of floor room for bags. Super place to stay,right in the middle of Warnambool and Port Fairy.”

“Está súper bien, la verdad yo esperba menos por ser un hostal pero la atención fue excelente y rápida, el cuarto súper limpio, las camas no taan fancy pero se duerme súper bien y los baños impecables a lo que me tocó. Además tiene bar y restaurancito lo que lo hace divertido. Fácil de llegar y aparte tiene estacionamiento gratis. Superó mis expectativas, definitivamente volvería.”

“Incredible stay at Basalt Retreat! We enjoyed a cozy and luxurious evening the beautiful vineyard, made even more lovely by the complimentary bottle of prosecco and warm hot cocoa. The space itself is gorgeous and so well appointed—from the fascinating books to the gorgeously-scented bath products. Breakfast was delicious: an exquisite croissant loaf with butter and fig jam, plus yogurt and muesli, all made by local purveyors.
