The rooms were very clean, staffs were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect, very close to the Zurich HB train station, restaurants and the old town. I’m so glad that there’s free tea and coffee downstairs with a nice coffee machine. Highly recommended.

Excellent place to stay if you are flying into Zürich and then going to the train station Zürich HBB. The staff is very friendly and we was able to store our luggage until check-in time. Staff also allowed us to store bags on the day we left since our train was leaving after checkout. Food is expensive in Zürich and the breakfast was an excellent value.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fred Hotel! The location was perfect for everything we needed while visiting Zurich. We took three tours during our stay, and all of them met just across the street, about a one-minute walk from the hotel’s bus pickup location. Even better, we arrived by train, and the hotel was less than a five-minute walk from the train station! There were plenty of shopping and dining options nearby, especially inside the train station, making everything incredibly convenient. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and felt safe. Best of all, the price point made this an incredible value for our money! We couldn’t have asked for a better location or a more convenient place to stay while exploring Zurich. We would absolutely recommend the Fred Hotel to anyone visiting the city!

The apartment was clean and the location couldn't be better—just steps away from the train station, which made getting around extremely convenient. The staff were also very friendly and helpful when we checking in. The only downsides were that it was a bit noisy outside due to the central location, and the room got warm without AC. Overall, a great and convenient place to stay!

We were very frustrated with the check in process as we are not young. We finally figured out how to find a person and we went to the other building and found her. I think her name was Melani and she turned the situation around as we were tired and just wante to check in. She was awesone and helped us with the phone app and was very friendly and made us feel good and laugh with her jokes. Excellent employee!

I give the Fred Guesthouse 5 stars for helpfulness, cleanliness and amenities… the tricky part about the Fred guest house was… the room key on the app. Trying to sign into WiFi at the door was a bit spotty making this task less than ideal. Lugging our suitcases up the stairs to the lift after a long day of travel was hard and the lift was almost too small for my mom and I with our luggage. The room was very clean but also so tiny. With no chairs and barely room for our luggage we decided that this hotel was made for the much younger crowd who travels very light. Not so much for me (60yrs) and my 82 year old mom. Luckily we were only staying 1 night. And we had a few good laughs over it!

This room was the most reasonably priced place we could find near the train station. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The glass walls for the bathroom were a little awkward but not a dealbreaker!

Check-in online was easy and the free wifi at the property mean didn't need to worry about data charges in Switzerland. It look a few moments of faffing outside the main door but we were able to sort the keyless entry and once we knew what we were doing it was easy to access the rooms. Arriving on a hot day we were grateful that chilled bottled water was available and that the air-conditioning in the rooms worked. Each room was clean. Breakfast the next morning at the main hotel was a short work away and had a good range of choices.

Stunning stay at Fred’s Zurich – absolute perfection! From the moment we arrived, everything about Fred’s screamed professionalism and thoughtful hospitality. Gabriela was super helpful – genuinely kind, efficient, and made me feel completely at home. The entire place is sparkling clean, immaculately maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Rooms are just brilliant: stylish, comfortable, and exactly what you want after a day exploring Zurich. Bonus points for the free 24/7 coffee and free high-speed WiFi – small touches that make a big difference and show real care for guests. Highly recommend Fred’s to anyone visiting Zurich. This place has a very convenient location just a few minutes walk from the main train station and near several tram stops. It's on a quiet street, and though the single room is quite small, it fit my needs. The entry system is easy once you get the hang of it (you have to wait a bit for the doors to unlock), but there was someone available to help me open the outer door when I arrived. The guest house is also right around the corner from the hotel, where the breakfast is, but there is free coffee and tea on the ground floor. I will be staying here again when I return to Zurich.

Very convenient location close to the Zurich station. Nice rooms comfortable stay. However, I had booked online and reached the guest house building just before my check in. The door is locked so I enquired in their office next door. The lady was not co-operative or even willing to listen to me. She pointed me in the direction of the main hotel building where I went. The staff there was very helpful and apologetic for my experience. They even gave me an upgrade. The check in for the guest house building (not the main hotel by the Starbucks) need to be improved to avoid confusion and inconvenience for the visitors. I will stay in the main hotel next time.
