Perfect for one night stay with excellent location near the train station, shopping and restaurants. Received VIP Access upgrade and food/beverage credit for use at the restaurant. Very nice people. Fantastic location very close to Zurich HB and just off of banhofstrasse. More of a b&b type place, so just be sure that’s what you’re looking for. Food credit given if you book through Expedia, a nice touch!

, , This Zurich hidden gem, next to shopping street, across from the Zurich train station. Boutique is the key word. You can tell this is the owners Labour of Love. Only 26 rooms but each one full of nostalgia. Antiques adorn every room beds modern and comfortable. Staff friendly like you were their personal guest.

The pluses: excellent location. In a pedestrian street which means no traffic noise and a 5-minute walk from the train station. A few mins walk from everything downtown - cannot beat that! Very friendly staff, good spread for breakfast (the two guys working there were extremely polite and helpful) and a very lovely and nicely decorated lobby/eating area. Rooms are fine and clean. The minuses: no AC in the rooms that can become of an issue on hot days because, you have to leave the windows open at night and unfortunately, if you are facing the inner court yard, people gather early in the morning for a coffee and a smoke and talk loudly waking you up at wee hours of the day. Another minus is the room price. I know that hotel prices are high in Zurich, but for a 3 star hotel, I paid what I paid for a way more exclusive room in Manhattan and I did that all the 15 times I flew there the last 3 years. Anyway, the latter is unavoidable, I guess, unless you wait for specials. Overall, a 4/5 experience and I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Perfect location - 3 minutes walk to Zurich HB train station which is super easy access to airport and right by Bahnofstrasse, very walkable to all the museums, shops and opera. Spotless clean room. Very comfy and spacious. Helpful staff though they were not always present at the desk in case of questions. The waiters at their Palette restaurant seem to provide backup coverage, works for me.
