The best hotel we stayed at in Switzerland. Really nice updated property. Breakfast was delicious with local food items and made to order coffee and eggs. Fantastic shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location. Close to the train station, but on a quieter street in the center of town.

Such a great hotel!! Location was perfect, walking distance to everything train station, shops, restaurants, etc. Has an elegant wood cabin vibe to it. The wellness center was awesome, 3 different types of saunas! Staff was super nice and attentive, gave us great recommendations. Loved it so much, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I ever visit again.

The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a beautiful penthouse with views of the Matterhorn. The breakfast was excellent and they even took us to the station in the snow at a moments notice. Wonderful!

Here’s a smoother, more polished version: The staff was extremely helpful, and our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The lodge is in an excellent location, close to everything, and we even had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn from our balcony. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning, which is common in many Swiss hotels. Although we visited in early May, the room occasionally felt warmer than we would have preferred. For this reason, I would probably avoid visiting Zermatt during the warmer summer months. Aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return to the lodge, particularly during the cooler months.

Cozy, lodge feel with great location off the Main Street but still very accessible to village center. Very good breakfast with smoked fish and unique Swiss cheeses, breads from famous local bakery. Would have rated 5 stars if it weren’t for the lousy view I had. (See photo). Otherwise, a great place to hang your hat in Zermatt. I’d definitely return with a commitment to a much more suitable view.
