This location is excellent and the train station is across the street, (I never heard the train). The green line bus stop is about a 30 second walk, while the heart of downtown is located a couple of minutes from this hotel. The rooms were clean and my hostel bed was configured in such a way that it was very private. I would stay here again!

What a really great find. I took the hostel room upstairs on the 4th floor (Kilimanjaro) and it worked well. Definitely a hostel up there with bathrooms one floor down but exactly what I needed. Amazing kitchen and great ski room with boot heaters. Right next to the train station and easy access to skiing. The check in and staff were amazing. Quite a find.

Great view!

Lovely front desk welcome, and check in was able to happen early after a long travel day. My room was clean, and my bed was super comfortable. I had a shared bathroom and shower, but it was always impeccably clean and stocked. Water was hot/pressure was great. It was nice having my own sink and vanity in my room, and fresh towels were provided daily. Clear view of the Matterhorn from my little balcony, which was beautiful. The cons: no lift, and the restaurant noise outside was super intense on my second out of two nights until 11:30pm, and I had to start my hike to Matterhorn base camp early the next morning. That was rough.

One of the bests hostels ever

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in my life. Friendly, super, super clean, accommodating. Check in was a breeze. I had a private room but would definitely stay in a dorm next time. In fact I asked but they were full.

Excellent stay for Zermatt

We stayed in a double room with attached bathroom. Even though the room is relatively small for 2 persons with luggages, but the condition of the room is excellent! The shower temperature control and water pressure is good, the room temperature is well controlled, even though outside is 1 degree Celsius, we are kept warm in the room. The bathroom natural ventilation is good, the room is clean. The staffs are well manners and friendly, the check in / out process is hassles-free. Overall are excellent

What we particularly liked about this property was that it was right in front of the train station so we didn't have to take a taxi. The staff was very helpful and friendly and it was convenient for shopping, dining etc. We had not noticed that this was a hostel when we booked it and were a bit dismayed when we arrived and found that we had a shared bathroom, but it turned out okay. We never had any problems having to wait for facilities the entire time we were there.

Hotel Bahnhof was a little gem. We were on a budget and could not afford much in Zermatt. I didn't realize when I booked that it was a hostel / hotel. However, it turned out to be the best for us. We shopped in the local grocery store and ate our meals in the communal kitchen, which was clean and very convenient. We also enjoyed the laundry facilities (halfway through our trip). The room was comfortable and clean. The shower was strong. The desk clerk was very helpful and nice. If you're looking for a nice place to stay on a middle class traveler's budget, this is your place. But, bring your phone or laptop. There wasn't a tv.

Worst hotel experience in Switzerland

Stayed for only 1 night. The next morning, there is completely no hot water for shower despite waiting for 2.5hours. Had to checkout of this hotel without any showering for the past 18hours. There is no lift nor help available to bring my single luggage bag upstairs which weigh more than 24kg. Most terrible hotel we have stayed throughout our 14-day trip in Swiss. Huge regret to book Bahnhof,
