Not too many options hence a bit pricey, but worth it. Having your own back veranda with the view of the desert and a peaceful enjoyment of the outback atmosphere was worth it. Property has regular shuttle service (every 20 minutes), airport pickup and drop. The market is 6 minutes walk. Loved my stay here.

Restaurant had excellent food, bar was well stocked + made the best mocha coffees I've had in my 5 weeks in AU. Staff was friendly, helpful + efficient, but always with plenty of time to assist in the best experiences. Truly a most enjoyable stay.

Given the resort location, you are a captive audience, which pushes up the price. While the pictures make it look fancier than it is, it was comfortable in the 40 degree heat and the air con worked hard. Great restaurant.

This is the definition of a captive market. The hotel is decent but the cleanliness is not very good. There was a colony of ants that made a home in our room. The breakfast buffet was mediocre at best. I understand this is a remote area and keeping pests out may be more difficult but there is really no excuse for the infestation. The food would also be fine if you were not paying premium for it. I think the hotel needs to work on pricing because it is definitely not worth the price tag at this level of quality. The checkout is also before 10 am which is really not enough time. The other issue is that everything is geared toward paying extra for tours and things like renting a car or using the hop on hop off bus is either exorbitant in cost or difficult to book because it sells out. It’s a shame that they took such a beautiful location and turned it into what can only be described as a tourist trap. The nature is well worth it to see just do your research and book in advance so you don’t have to pay unnecessary tour fees.

The national park was a 10 minute drive away. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with an excellent choice. There were good free experiences to get to know about the history of Uluru.

Our room is a bit further away from the main lobby, although there is a walkway to the room, but some are covered and some are not, so it is not ideal and inconvenient when rained. We had be warned of inserts and bugs in Uluru. However we did not expect we get cockroach, bugs and centipede in our room! Overall the Uluru trip was excellent , especially the Sunset Journey experience , Uluru-Kata Tjuta national park tour and the field of light. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus service to the township and other resorts. We will definitely visit Uluru again but it will be in Winter season.

We came for a short stay to celebrate a significant birthday. For more context, there were four of us, all adults. We really enjoyed our stay at Desert Gardens Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable. We ate at both restaurants and enjoyed every meal. Having the pool was essential.
