It felt clean and the staff was ok. They are not used to working at a hotel or a bnb, but they did their best. My main critizism would be the location. I don't know if it is a mistake by Expedia or the hotel, but it is nowhere near where it is indicated on the map. Its way out in the jungle.

A piece of paradise in Sun Moon Lake

We booked a 3-night stay at Residence 8 to do things we had not experienced in our previous trips to Sun Moon Lake, including a stay at a quieter location, away from the crowd and noise. Residence 8 more than met our needs and expectations. We left early on day-2 for mountain hiking, earlier than the scheduled breakfast time, and the host packed us a lunch sack! We loved our stay and highly recommend this property!

值得再次入住的民宿

私宅讓我們有隱居山林的感覺，建築很美，喜歡室內充滿木頭的香氣～房間內的裝潢也充滿設計感，用的沐浴備品也很棒。管家的服務也很好唷，為我們準備的早餐很豐盛，有暖胃的蔬菜湯，綜合水果，還有自製肉醬麵包。需要接送的話可以聯絡管家～民宿內還有書可以閱讀，房間內也有冷泡茶可以飲用～

環境靜謐.有滿滿的綠意. 房間舒適安靜.室內處處可見設計的美感.戶外有露營區, 但一點都不吵. 床非常好睡.我家大人小孩都睡得很安穩. 早餐跟房內的小點心都很好吃.老闆的手藝是大廚的等級. 走到熱鬧的街道上大概20分鐘(小朋友腳程計算).八番的一切都很值得!謝謝可愛的老闆非常貼心的接送我們~ 去日月潭會想再去住!

A unique getaway hidden in the hills

A unique getaway hidden in the hills. The main building is decorated with drifted wood and timber craft. The house is a bit off the main street and the lake (still within walking distance of ca. 1km). The owners also host a beautiful camping site here so off-grid camping can be an alternative choice.

hotel itself is super clean and comfortable room is spacious and beds are comfy however, its not at the center of sun moon lake but very close by, highly suggest to grab food from nearby before nightfall, because all the restaurants close beofre 8pm. however, the environment is very quiet since its not at the center
