I thought this hotel was fantastic, I loved my room, they had a great fitness room and pool area, the staff was excellent, and the restaurant and bar was outstanding. Both the food and drink, and the staff were wonderful, thank you love to come stay again.

Lovely very clean room with everything you would expect, helpful staff at check in, great choices at breakfast, english, continental, cereals, fruit all fresh. Parking bit hit miss dependent upon how booked hotel is but usually clears early evening. Very handy for trips into York , handy bus stop right outside with great services.

Brilliant stay! Our room (family room) was lovely and spacious with lots of storage. The swimming pool was a great little pool with a toddler splash pool too, and great showers. Little sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were a nice extra, and the staff at the leisure club were very friendly. The breakfast buffet had lots of options - everything you need. Also loved how easy it was to access York on the buses.

Lovely hotel with character. Breakfast was calm and quiet - just what was needed and filled us up for the day! Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. The lift was very small and made strange noises so not for those who don’t like them! Furniture/ air con etc in rooms does need updating but considering the heat we had an excellent night’s sleep

Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school holidays until complaints were raised at reception which they then did resolve quickly with reception staff having to help in the restaurant. Pool was always very busy and Jacuzzi out of order for whole stay. Plenty of parking, reasonably priced.
