Great location and at a reasonable price, just a short walk from the city centre with the added bonus of free parking. Spacious room and bathroom but if you did want to watch tv, this was miniscule. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice. The staff here were so friendly and helpful especially on reception. Would certainly return.

Loved the friendly welcome and standard of service. The excellent value evening meal and hearty breakfast. The quiet garden at the front in which to sit. It was a short walk to Mickelgate, Holy Trinity and the city centre

Ideal location if you’re happy to have a walk into the city and would like a peaceful room. Price is reasonable for the room. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Good choice for breakfast and friendly servers. Would happily stay there again.

The was very clean and comfortable, we were in the back of the hotel which was actually nice because of how quiet it was. All of the staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was classic British full breakfast with the baked tomato…Excellent location not far from from the Micklengate and close to old town York. The bar and other sitting areas were very comfortable and welcoming.

Good all round hotel. Bed comfortable, spacious room, very clean throughout, reasonable prices at bar, well cooked and presented breakfast. Only negatives, no fresh fruit for breakfast, only grapefruit, very small TVand biggest radiator in our room wasn’t working but this wasn’t a major issue for us but it would be in winter.
