Lovely friendly place to stay

Nice stay

Really enjoyed our stay, close to the old town, didnt need to use the car at all. A bit of a wait for our meals, but it was worth waiting for. Would definately stay there again.

Great all round stay

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay and would definitely stay here again. The staff are friendly and the food was excellent. It’s a ten minute walk into the city centre. There is some road noise, but it didn’t spoil our stay.

Room was very comfortable as was the bed. Everything was clean. Even though it was above a pub, it was remarkably quiet. The food at the pub was very good and the full breakfast, made to order, was wonderful!!

Stayed for one night at Crown and Rose B&B. Room is above pub and dining room but quiet. Room faced the back of the property so noise was minimal. No AC but fan is provided and night was cool. Room is basic but comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

very nice staff, excellent pub with top notch food and beer. Just outside city walls near Walmgate so great location to explore city. and free parking which is great for York as it would normally cost a fortune. the room we had was above the bar and overlooking the main road, but no bother with noise, slept very well.

Good stay

Second stay here, so it must be good 😊. We ate lunch on our arrival, which was delicious. Breakfast was just as good. The only slight problem was the noisy boiler/generator that switched on and off randomly during the night and interrupted our sleep.
