Staff were helpful and friendly. The bed is wonderfully soft and comfortable and they have lovely bathrooms. Unfortunately despite our booking indicating 2pm check in when we arrived at 2 we were told checks weren't until 3. There is also no wifi in the rooms and the TV only has free to air tv with no capacity to use streaming or casting services.

Great spot for a getaway, the location is perfect and the room is very clean, neat and tidy with everything needed, had a spa in the room which was a bonus and the bed was extremely comfortable, will definitely stay here again.

The dining and the bar were good and the staff were helpful although one of the male serving staff was wearing a baseball cup which we didn’t think look good. We felt the courtyard brick paving was really uneven and dangerous. We felt the shower over the bath is a dangerous situation and my guest did slip on the bath and bang her head against the edge of the bath, causing a split above the eyebrow with much bleeding. Resulting in visits to both the York and Northam hospitals which resulted in eight hours of waiting around for treatment and getting attended to. Ambiance was very pleasant and the room smelled very clean.

Parking at rear, off ? Street. This would be helpful to future stayers, I found it after a few minutes as I was directed to Main Street, but you would be lucky to get in street parking. No bottle opener. Plenty of tea and coffee which was good. Walls are thin! Woken at 5:30am and again at 7am by couple talking in next room. Although there were many other rooms unoccupied, it blows my mind why you would put people right next door to each other.

Settlers house in York was a great place to stay and so convenient to all the attractions. It was economical, very clean and comfortable. Live music all weekend created a lovely ambience. The staff were great and couldn't do enough for us.

This is country town accommodation. It is clean and comfortable and a good standard. York is a beautiful Western Australian historic town, neat, tidy, a safe environment with very friendly people, about 100km from Perth. Very relaxed.

The town of York is lovely. The visitors center has so much great information. Now to the Settlers Cottage, the carpet was disgraceful and filthy. Bugs in the room, no drinking water, no hairdryer, only luke warm water for shower, musty smell. The place has so much potential, but not taken care of. We booked a deluxe twin room, nothing deluxe about it!I trying to be very honest so that the next person isn’t as upset as we were. We had a prepaid evening check in, so felt that we had no choice but to stay.

The room was very clean; I worked for The Pamelia Hilton in Perth and it was on par as it in the cleanliness department. Only saw the staff when I checked in and they were very friendly and helpful. Didn't go into the bar. And didn't go into to any shops. I would be very happy to stay there again if I have to Come to York for another event. thankyou Dianne Nelligan
