This hotel is very good. Yes the rooms and eating area is a little dated. But it all works, its clean, the breakfast is nice and the staff lovely. The hotel is a good location and makes a good base. Getting into York is pretty easy either by the close by P&R or by car down the A19 into City Centre. Parking at Hotel is good although if you have a large 4x4 then maybe not.

The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Room 401 is in the old part of the hotel, right next to a strongly sprung wooden fire door, which banged badly. The plumbing is old and noisy. The room looks out onto a small dingy untidy courtyard. The car park has many non working light bulbs. The hotel is conveniently located near the outer ring road.
