What a hidden gem just a short walk to the centre of town. The hotel is excellent and the staff are so helpful. I had room 19 which was so quirky, super comfy bead and had a great sleep. Would recommend the place 👍👍👍👍

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The staff were all lovely people and great to chat with. There is a head of security cat named teddy and he was the sweetest soul. He snuggled up with us when we sat in the lounge area, having a drink at the end of the night. Every space here is decorated so nicely and makes it so warm and welcoming. Our room was also beautifully decorated with a cutest guest book that was very entertaining to read and put our own note in, The bathroom in our room was also very clean with the shampoos and lotions smell amazing! We also enjoyed it being walking distance to some shopping areas. The only other thing I would add is the emergency light in our room was annoying bright as someone who likes to sleep in the complete darkness but on the other hand my husband slept well and wasn’t bothered by it. we also didn’t tell staff about it because we didn’t think it was a big deal. We would highly recommend staying here and if we are ever in the area again would stay here again!

Lovely 3 night stay at the Clementine. Comfortable bed (best sleep in ages), interesting and quirky things to look at whilst there, lovely staff (especially the young chap serving at breakfast, friendly and lots of smiles), lovely breakfast too. All in all a fab break - ps York was good too, short walk to the centre.

The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming, the hotel is beautiful, clean and has wonderful decor. Its in a great location. The biscuits and hot chocolate were a lovely touch. Very comfortable bed too.

Really enjoyed my stay. Was very relaxing. Home from home not like the average hotel. Good selection of drinks at the bar and in your room. Big dispensers of shampoo/body wash, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion in my Queen room. The Queen room is perfect for one guest. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return on my next visit to York.
