The B&B was lovely and Catherine was a great host, very welcoming and keen to ensure that everything was perfect for us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and was amazing. A really enjoyable stay in a lovely location, which was a perfect base to explore York from.

Had a fantastic stay at Haggs Farm, Catherine was very friendly and even introduced us to the animal residents which was fun. The room was very clean, cosy and perfect for an overnight stay. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely

The area is lovely quiet and open being a farm. The hostess was friendly. The room and surrounding areas had real nice touches and very echo friendly. Would highly recommend. Haven't had breakfast yet but I just know it will be stonking.

As Americans traveling in the UK for the first time, staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Catherine greeted us like old friends, phoned ahead to secure us a dinner reservation at the excellent local pub after hours, and prepared us a spectacular breakfast. I can’t imagine a friendlier or more comfortable place to stay.

A wonderful night in a beautiful room. We were able to check in early after speaking with the host, came home late after a wedding with no trouble and they could t have been more accommodating. We had a delicious breakfast cooked in the morning too. Thank you!

Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. One of my favourite B&B’s ever, I can’t recommend it enough!

We had a fantastic one-night stay at Colton Haggs and couldn't fault the standard, cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. The location is great too - very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive away from the York Park & Ride and the Outlet Village. Catherine is a wonderful host and her cooked breakfast was delicious! Would love to stay again if back in the area.

Peaceful country stay

Was warmly greeted upon arrival, the room was a very generous size and immaculately clean. Beautiful rural setting and wonderfully quiet. Only a short drive to the neighbouring village for dinner. Would happily stay again.

Our stay was perfect for visiting York. Just a short drive to the nearest Park and Ride. The B&B was excellent with a beautiful room, super comfy bed and bed linen and in such a peaceful rural location. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay.
