Beautiful lobby, dirty room

The lobby is very nice and welcoming. The restaurant has a good, authentic Chinese breakfast. But the room was dirty and smelled of old cigarette smoke. Because I got in late they days that was the last room of that type. They put me in a different room the next night but that was about the same--maybe a little cleaner room but the bathroom smelled of sewage. I got refunded for the remaining nights and went to another hotel.

horrible. Hotel.com did not property vet this property. No one speaks the slightest bit of English. Demanded payment in cash, plus a security deposit IN CASH, which I refused. Not set up to accomodate tourists. Stay somewhere else.

I won't recommend to others.

We booked this hotel as the website indicated that the hotel is able to provide non smoking room. But when we checked in, it was very obvious that somebody smoked in the room before. We called the front desk to ask for changed of room. The staff had kindly let us change to a room without cigarette smell but it doesn't really help much as the whole corridor is smelly. Whenever someone close the door, you will hear loud bang, you can't really rest well at night. I won't go back again.

Good hotel close to the Yang Tze River.

Excellent four star hotel in a good location. Not far from the city centre and shopping. Many buses stop almost in front of the hotel but it is just as easy to take a taxi. Very affordable.
