The cabins at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel were a great getaway. They were within walking distance to the lake, dining and other attractions. Would definitely stay again.

Not only is the Lake Yellowstone Hotel dinning room closed but the rest of the adjacent sitting space is also behind barriers. The food and service in the nearby Lake Lodge is good.
Amazing staff that are loaded with knowledge about the area. The wonderful staff member that helped us check in showed us on a map where to see all the bears, elk, wolves, mountain goats, and Bald Eagles. Literally every spot she shared with us was spot on ! Aside from that, the views are incredible and the hotel has a very fascinating story!

Hopefully, in the future, the property can provide free wifi.
Staff was helpful at check in and the folks in the cafeteria were nice, but the cabin was older and smaller. It served our purpose well and seemed clean, but I wouldn’t it’s not a resort, it’s a cabin. Kind of feels a bit like the staff cabins in the movie Dirty Dancing. : )
We generally had a good stay.
The property is very average. With so much of real estate available, it could have been so much more. The restaurant was closed, the rooms had a cold feeling (not temperature wise)
This hotel is a disaster. Expedia should not be promoting this. Structure is poor, we could hear people walking above us all night long. We couldn’t sleep, ended up leaving at 4:00 in the morning.
Cabins are right off the lake. Beds are decent, small bathrooms, as expected for area. Cooking outdoors only. Request broom at check in to clean floors. Inquire about towel service if you need it daily.

Liked: Cleanliness
Need more arrangement like microwave, little fridge, cleaning
No WiFi anywhere on property- not even at the lobby or common areas. No on site restaurant or, bar, or store. Had to drive to neighboring hotel to eat, have drinks, or have limited WiFi service. Room in cottage was decent inside but no refrigerator and our floor had small stones around. Outside was basic. Mammoth springs lodge was nicer and had more amenities for snacks, food, stores, etc. If staying again, I would do Mammoth Springs lodge again; not Lake Yellowstone.
We thought we were going to stay in the Hotel. However, and despite what the confirmation said, we were put in a satellite lodge. There were no amenities in the lodge, and if one wanted breakfast, you had to drive a mile down the road to another facility. Also, there was no internet available.
Cabin was overpriced for what you got. The weather was snowing, temps in low 30’s walked into a cabin with no heat on. It took all night to get heat up where you could take your jacket off. Restaurants for breakfast was terrible,
Convenient, comfortable, great wildlife to see in the area

We booked this cabin for the beginning of their travel season- late may. Upon arrival we checked in at the lake Yellowstone hotel, which is completely shut down for renovations, which normally wouldn’t matter except for the fact that that’s where most of the dining options within 40 miles are. We were never notified that the renovations were happening and that the restaurants would be closed. We were told at check in that the ONLY option for food was at a neighborong lodge a little down the road. The food there was basically cafeteria food at resort pricing.
The other issue we had with our stay was the bed. The cabin itself was cozy and clean, and super quiet, but the bed and pillows are garbage. The national parks should be ashamed of themselves for charging $300 plus a night to provide you with what they do for bedding. Springy mattresses that bow towards the middle, and pillows with basically no fluff or support.
DO BETTER national parks/xanterra!!!
