“The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, Jane was very helpful from beginning to end. The food we had for dinner and breakfast was fantastic, tasty and good quality ingredients. Can’t wait to come back.”

“Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. ”

“We thought the room was not worth the price. It was a bit shabby and lacked the extras with a room that price. Early evening we saw two rats outside on our patio. There was a lack of staff at certain times and this was communicated to us when asking for breakfast. The bar and gardens were lovely, they were very helpful with our food choices but the Sticky toffee pudding was not to a good standard.”

“Very quaint pub in a quiet village - but full of life and character, obviously popular with locals and visitors alike. The staff were super friendly. Food was great. Our room was unique and full of old pub charm including sloping floors, but it was super clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was well appointed.”

“Easy to park, even though it was busy when we arrived (8pm on a Sat Eve), and received a warm welcome at Reception. Room adequate for what were required - a place to stay for a night - but could have been paid a bit more attention - the two chairs in the room were looking tired and threadbare. Bed a little uncomfortable for our liking, so not a great nights sleep for us.”
