One of the best vacations I have ever been to. Resort was extremely clean and very spacious. It literally felt like we had the entire resort to ourselves. If you are looking for a resort to relax, have great service, great food and great drinks, this is the place for you. We will definitely be coming back to this resort.

We had an amazing stay at this resort. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent. The scenery was beautiful, the property was clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. The food was great throughout our stay, with plenty of options and consistently good quality. The staff was also outstanding — friendly, helpful, and always making sure guests were taken care of. The staff were really professional and helpful with any questions I had, polite and no language barrier. Restaurants were top notch and the servers went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Beautiful pools with pool bars made it to easy not to enjoy yourself and the beach was out of this world with enough shade from the palm trees and plenty of chairs for everyone. Rooms were very clean with daily maid service and refreshments stocked in the mini fridge. Overall, it's just a perfect place to let the stress out and relax, I have been there four times now and can't wait to return!

The WOW factor for this resort was exceptional. The design was well thought out and attention to detail was second to none. Every aspect of our stay was exceptional. Mother nature floated in sargassum but the staff was incredible in their efforts to clean the beach every day.

Despite a frequent problem in all the resorts with Seaweed issues this time of year… the staff did a good job removing as much and often as possible. The food is excellent, The property is lovely. We have been to Barcelo Riviera Maya Palace numerous times. This was our first time to stay at the adults only location. We will definitely come again and again. Very safe and relaxing.

Excellent all around, the best part no children, don’t even bother visiting the other complexes unless you just wanna hear children screaming every second of your life. It is not very common to find the perfect hotel; I give Riviera Maya a 99%. We had the privilege of not only enjoying the adult only hotel where we stayed at but all of the other five hotels at Riviera Maya. Food was excellent, amazingly clean; but what made the experience unique was the staff. Every single staff member was friendly, helpful, and doing it all with great attitude. From the ladies that cleaned our room, to the man who helped with the TV, the women who resetted the safe for us, the restaurant workers, the ladies who helped with the restaurant reservations, the ladies who booked the tours, those that worked at the gift shops, those at the reception; so many...all with one goal: make our stay the best enjoyable experience. Visiting during the World Cup, seeing the celebration as Mexico won their game made it special. And yes, the daily one hour concerts at night at the Riviera adults only sealed each night with great music. In my specific case, as I am on a special diet, even the chefs did their best to accommodate my restrictions and I enjoyed some delicious food. I would definitely recommend the Barcelo hotels! Thank you for a wonderful six days!!

Overall, our experience at Barcelo was good. The restaurants were great, the resort is stunning, very clean, etc. However, there are things that could be worked on that could make it better. I did feel like the service could’ve been a bit better. Normally at other hotels we stayed at in Cancun the servers working the pool area constantly asked how they can help you. During our stay here we got asked about twice. Also, normally at other stays when they drop off the luggage in your room, the person usually explains the room amenities to you, that didn’t happen here. Other little things like that. Breakfast buffet variety could be better, also they close at 6pm while the other buffets at the other hotels close later, so if you were looking for a evening snack you would have to go to another hotel. The lobby bar could be better in the sense that they could offer more in my opinion. All in all, Barcelo is a beautiful resort, it is like it’s own little town there, since they offer a lot for guests to do in terms of experiences.

This hotel was a swimmer’s paradise. Probably one of my favorite things was swimming when it turned dusk and watching the stars come out from the infinity pool. Also thanks to my Expedia status, I got upgraded to an ocean view. AO was so nice and this hotel was the best in the resort. It is also home to the best 4 restaurants! I didn’t want to leave the Riviera Maya Hotel and I want to go back.

However, as a beach lover, I was disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the beach due to algae and the ongoing cleanup by the staff. I learned that this issue typically occurs in that area from January to September.
