Our family had a blast! Everyone was very nice and polite and helpful. The food was amazing. The resort and pools were beautiful! All around awesome! We only had issues with hot water in our shower, and our room was far away from any of the activities. But nothing that would stop us from coming back again! We had an amazing time there!

The staff at Maya Palace was amazing and did everything to ensure their meals were all handled with care and avoiding all her food allergies. We just spent 10 days at Barceló Maya Palace and loved every minute. The resort is stunning, clean, and beautifully maintained. The pools and beach are absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of room to relax. Every meal at the buffet and specialty restaurants was excellent. Most of all, the staff was incredibly warm and attentive. It was the perfect luxury vacation, and we cannot wait to return!

The property was beautiful and well maintained. Our rooms were clean. While the beach/sand isn’t perfect. Being able to swim with sea turtles at your hotel is pretty amazing. The snorkeling and fish at the resort were great. The food is good at the Barcelo Maya Palace were good too. COMPLAINTS: no washcloths, it was not explained to us how to book restaurants(for example while you can only book one per day, you can book Wednesday on Monday. There is A LOT of walking and no “golf cart” transportation offered(this matters because I am recovering from a broken foot) additionally I rarely had the same bartender so where at some resorts you find “that waiter, waitress or bartender that remembers you.” This was not the case. Also the fact that people are allowed to reserve all the chairs by placing towel clips on them should not be allowed(at any resort) they take up the beach chairs for hours while they aren’t there. Overall this resort was great just a few things I would change.

This was our second stay at Barcelo Maya Palace. We love having so many options and being able to play at each of the resort's pools, water slide parks, and beaches. The resort's location is also so nice and close to the Xplor and Xel-ha parks. One disappointment this visit was we weren't able to get a reservation at the teppanyaki restaurant, even thought we inquired when we were checking in.
