Decent and Clean

Staff don't speak English, but I speak a few words of Mandarin and the staff were handy with smartphone translation apps. Staff is neutral, not friendly but polite and professional. The room is a bit tired, mostly the carpet needs a very deep clean or replacement but the room was otherwise bright and clean and the housekeeping was 100%. No strange smells in the room but cigarette smoke will waft in from the hallways (smoking indoors is standard in China...). The bed, pillows and sheets were clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi is strong but typical great firewalled. Location is pretty convenient, a short taxi ride to the nice parts of Xiamen Island, and close to bridges to get to mainland locations. Within a few steps walking distance are cafés, convenience stores and restaurants, including a Starbucks and McDonalds.

편안하게 투숙했습니다.

공항에서 매우 가까워서 이동하기 편리하고 중산로 같은 중심가에서는 택시로 15분가량 걸립니다. 택시비도 그리 많이 들지 않구요. 아무튼 중심가에서 좀 떨어져 있긴 하지만 그렇다고 그렇게 먼 거리가 아니라서 좋습니다. 가격도 저렴하고 조식은 중식이 중심이긴 하지만 맛있게 먹었습니다. 국수종류를 바로바로 만들어 주어서 더 좋구요. 방 컨디션은 5일동안 머무는 동안 매일 매일 정리를 잘 해주셔서 좋았습니다. 호텔이 조금 오래되어서 새 것처럼 깨끗하진 않지만 아무튼 가격 대비 만족할 만큼 깨끗했습니다. 다만 영어가 잘 통하지 않는점은 조금 불편했습니다. 영어를 하는 직원이 있기는 하다는데 제가 투숙하는 동안에는 없었습니다. 그래도 요청사항에 대해서 번역기를 이용해서라도 의사소통을 하는 등 최선을 다 해주시고 친절하게 대해주셨습니다. 아무튼 저렴한 가격에 편안하게 머물 수 있었습니다.

Convenient to airport with soft enough beds

Convenient location to the Xiamen Airport. Soft bed for an American to be happy. We had a 14-hour layover and only stayed here because close to the airport and reasonable price. It was a cheap taxi each way. You can see the distance on hotels.com and it is accurate. We didn't do anything in the local area except buy cold water in a shop just around the corner. But a nice clean room. Free breakfast was included but we just chose to sleep. Would not stay there for a vacation but perfect if your flight is delayed or you booked a long layover for a good night's sleep.
