“I stay here regularly. A real local pub, where regulars seem to meet early evening but it gets quiet later. Very friendly atmosphere. Simple but great value rooms, good shower and comfortable warm rooms. Parking at rear and short walk to town centre. Excellent Italian restaurant ROPPERS just 200m away”

“We had a difficult time getting checked in, as there was no one there when we arrived and my US phone had a hard time connecting to the posted UK number. But the owner arrived soon and everything was great! The restaurant is very unique with lots of antiques, and the food was fabulous! Breakfast was made to order and fabulous!! I highly recommend!”

“Great place 2 mins walk to the beach Nigel and Simon were very friendly and Simon had 2 of his owls with him, which was a thrill to see!! Room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. My only gripe was £30 additional cost for our small, non malting dogs.”

“The food was very good (ham was delicious!) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub had a nice friendly feel, too. Plenty of on site parking and it felt clean. The only minor quibble was the tv screen in our room was abs tiny (small). Overall, was good value.”
