“Room and bed comfortable, walk in shower, table top ironing board and iron were very useful prior to a family wedding. Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts. Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners. Beautfiul location. “the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The biggest wow was their amazing menus for breakfast an evening meal. All cooked to perfection and every bit the epitome of careful professional presentation and flavour. Definitely returning to this jewel in south Hams of Devon.”

“Very clean hotel with very helpful staff however the restaurant menu should be changed more we stayed 4days but due to the poor menu we only ate in the restaurant once, due to the location it is very difficult to eat in other places The facilities were excellent”

“El hotel no tiene ascensor, es incómodo el acceso para personas con movilidad reducida. Las imágenes de la habitación al hacer la reserva en la web no correspondían con la habitación definitiva. En ese sentido muy decepcionada; optas por un hotel por unas características que al final no corresponden con la realidad. Es entonces cuando la calidad/precio no están equilibradas.”

“Staff”

“The hotel needs air conditioning in all bedrooms as the rooms were too hot. There were no fridges in the bedrooms to keep water cold etc which was disappointing as we had to ask for glasses of ice to do this. Staff were exceptional and the spa and swimming pool were really good. A great location on the edge of Dartmoor with access to some great walks.”

“We needed somewhere last minute and I don’t think we could have had any more luck. Really nice rooms, breakfast was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. They contacted us immediately when they found a watch of ours. Fully recommend staying here!”
