Great place that you could tell had been recently refurbished. Staff werre helpful and friendly, food at The Conservatory was lovely and well priced. Room was clean with a decent size TV, all for a great price. Would definitely stay again and recommend

Value for money good location for seeing the lakes only complaint is the mattress was a little hard not the best location if you are expecting shops and places to eat and drink around you as it over looks a farm but was perfect for the reason the hotel was booked would recommend and stay again food in the restaurant was lovely and staff were lovely

Peaceful stay

From the exterior of the building by the car park it doesn’t look like much, step into reception and feel instantly welcome. We stepped into our room was instantly a world away, everywhere was fresh and refurbished in a contemporary design. Quiet and comfortable, the sheep and the birds were the only noisy neighbours but such a beautiful way to wake up. The WiFi is a bit sketchy which also affects the quality of on demand services on the TV, which might annoy you after a long day walking or exploring if you want to relax with a film, but otherwise not too big a deal. The room was made up whilst we were out and ample parking made this all for a comfortable stay

Its a lovely hotel and the staff are all friendly. The conservatory part where we had from from the resteraunt was lovely! We had both starters and mains and it was delicious. Not a wide selection of drinks behind the bar however. The room itself I paid extra for a balcony and the superior room.....wasnt worth the extra money. The "balcony" was doors that opened inwards into your room and a small part you could stand on and the mountain view was mostly blocked by a tree. Shame as the room itself was nice and clean and not a bad size. The shower wasnt great as we needed to change the height and it was held in place by cardboard so kept sliding down. And the shower got the bathroom windowsil soaked. Wouldnt recommend paying more for the bigger room. Youre hardly in it as the hotels nocest part is the outside seating or the downstairs seating.

The hotel is a little isolated, but once you’re there, there’s no reason to leave anyway. Restaurant was a good time and the food was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

Stayed here a few times and also my colleagues stay here when in the area. Almost everything was great, however my only complaints are that the pillows were flat which meant it wasn’t the comfiest sleep and the coffee at breakfast wasn’t nice. Pie of the day for dinner was great once again.
