The room was very clean, but we could tell someone had smoked in the room at some point. Check-in was quick and easy. The pool was a little cool at first, but not bad at all and my kids enjoyed it. The breakfast was decent; there were 7 available items (two of which were almost gone or minimally stocked) but what we ate was good. The property is a little run down and in need of updates, but it was pretty good overall and worth the price.

The hotel was ok The room was clean and a nice size for a family of 5 The air in one of the rooms worked when it wanted,so an employee came to fix it but it was fixed for a little bit then it didn’t work again The breakfast could have been a little better and the area where we had to eat was really small and really warm but overall a last minute hotel option was ok but that’s it..

our first morning we went down to breakfast at 6:30 (posted time) before heading to a doctor's appointment and the breakfast room was dark. I checked the coffee machine and it was waiting to get flushed.... we had to be on the road by 6:45 so we missed out on breakfast. Later that day we talked to management and was assured breakfast would be ready for us at 6:30 the next morning and it was. The pool was nice and warm and we enjoyed that.

We stayed at Mt. Olympus for a coyple days, and decided to stay one more night in the dells. We were pleasantly surprised by the Econolodge. The staff was warm and welcoming. The indoor pool was clean, not crowded, and open until midnight. The rooms at Mt. Olympus were 3 times the price, and much smaller. My kids said they would prefer to stay here next time we come to the dells.

The lobby area smelled horribly of dog urine, as did the staircase from the lobby to the second floor. The hallways and other stairwells smelled strongly of bleach/chlorine. The room itself was okay, smelled clean, but was outdated and the carpets were dirty. The bathroom walls had paint missing and some smaller holes - the vent in the bathroom was very dirty as well. Beds were comfortable but pillows were at the end of their lifespan, so I’d pack your own if you care about that. AC worked well and overall it was quiet.

It is easy to give a five star when all goes perfectly but we had to request a different room as someone had smoked in the room. They immediately acted on it with no questions and a better room with no charge. For the price it is a good place to stay and nice and quiet.
