In town for just a weekend, we decided to do the shortest and easiest hike in Adirondack and that was Cascade Mountain. ⛰ At an elevation of around 4000 ft., it offers great views of Lake Placid for a casual hiker. 👟👟 Trip highlight: 🌌Stargazing near a surreal mist covered pond in Tupper Lake area, with wolves 🐺 howling nearby. (I wish I had captured a video but as luck would have it, since it was an impromptu activity, we didn't have the right equipment. This is a fantastic hotel, very close to the Cascade Mountain ski resort. The staff was very nice and welcoming, the room was clean, and the daily breakfast offerings were delicious. And the cherry on top of the cake: the pool and hot tub, of course! Incredible to warm up and relax after a long day of skiing. Once again, I would like to commend the staff for going above and beyond. They turned on the TV and let us watch the game in the breakfast area, and they were overall extremely attentive, accommodating, and courteous. 5+++ stars. Excellent option for families with kids. We will be back for sure.

The hotel is very nice and clean. They were doing some remodeling so I little dirt here and there but that’s to be expected. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area with hit tubs was great. The only thing I would say is it had too much chlorine in the pool and it would burn your eyes after awhile. That’s the only thing I can say bad about out stay.The breakfast was great as well. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Adorable little snack shop area. Large and very efficient and cute breakfast area. Great selection of breakfast items. It looks like a brand new pool area that's very well lit with outside light and welcoming. They're newly updating rooms, too, I believe. Or room had a brand new touch screen mirror, and a brand new pull out sofa. Loved our stay!

Easy to find Hotel. Conveniently located across a gas station and travel center for quick trips. I appreciated the well maintained common areas and upkeep of building in general. My group enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi area the most!

Clean and friendly

Good spot and not too far from the Dells or Baraboo. Went to Kalahari for some waterpark fun and went hiking at Devils Lake. Did some mini golfing and eating out at local restaurants and the room was always a cozy spot to came back to.

It was good overall, the staff were great and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were great too. The only thing would be the Internet was way too slow to watch tv or use the WiFi.

The pool area is very nice and kept up well. The breakfast was well supplied with nice choices. We stayed in a suite with two king beds in a separate space from the living room area. That was great since we were there with two grandchildren and it gave us some privacy. We stayed a week and although the room was not glamorous, it met all of our needs. We would stay there again.

Amazing portage hotel

It was great they were very very accommodating giving us a playpen for my granddaughter and dish soap to wash out bottles. They even let us check in early and check out late. Will definitely be back!!
