Really enjoyed our stay here. Great location with unobstructed river views and walking distance to restaurants. Room was clean with a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home with their warm and attentive service. The room was cozy, impeccably clean, and offered breathtaking views of the river and Washington mountains waking up to that scenery every morning was truly unforgettable. The location is perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature, with great hiking trails right at your doorstep. After a long day outdoors, relaxing in the wellness area was pure bliss. All the rooms face the river(s) with beautiful views especially in the late evening and early morning. We saw nearly tame mule deer right out our window. The location is very convenient within walking distance to all the attractions in downtown Winthrop. Another plus is it's good to have a parking spot (provided for hotel guests) because parking is really tight in Winthrop especially on summer weekends. Regarding the hot tub, you have to sign up in advance to reserve it for half hour blocks. There was only one time available 5:30 PM when we wanted to use it on a Saturday. If you are planning on using it, sign up right upon check in.

This is our second time staying at the Rio Vista. We absolutely love the setting right on the Methow River! All rooms have private balconies overlooking the fast-flowing river below, where you can sit and relax and watch the wildlife along the river. We watched a doe with two fawns, mergansers, bald eagles, swifts, and swallows, and went to sleep to the sound of the rushing water. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location right on Main Street has easy walking distance to food, drink, and trails for walking. The only negative to this last stay was not a fault of the hotel. It was the weekend of the Hamilton Fire. A level 3 evacuation order forced the town (including us) to pack up and leave a day early.
