“Lively, friendly pub with rooms around the corner from the main High St. Clean and tidy rooms. Good value. Limited parking when busy. As with rooms above pubs it is quite noisy but pretty well sound insulated and the pub closes relatively early. Staff were pleasant, helpful yet unintrusive. The room we had did not have main lighting so was very dark even with the side lights on and if you opened the blinds people on the street could see in - especially from the flat across the road. “Stayed here a few time and always found the owner friendly polite and helpful ,doesn't do evening meals but you just walk to the quay and it takes 3minutes and you have the restaurants pubs. The breakfasts are large you would not starve . Definitely recommend ”

“All staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. Very warm greeting by the owner on arrival introducing herself and giving a brief history of the business. Showed us around and explained how things are done with the bar, breakfast etc. even introducing us to their pet, Lionel the parrot. We were given a choice of 2 rooms to pick from.
