We had a nice stay overall, and the hotel has a lot going for it, especially the beautiful surroundings. That said, it didn’t feel particularly well suited to families. Breakfast was good, but the setup felt quite restrictive. You could only order one main, and there wasn’t much flexibility for extras. I also found it a bit disappointing that pancakes were counted as a main meal, especially when only three were served. When I asked for more, I was politely told there would be an extra charge. The sofa bed was also very uncomfortable, and I had to ask for another duvet just to make it usable. It’s a shame, because with a bit more family-friendly flexibility, it could be a much better experience.

Just a terrific relaxing weekend.

We booked a lake view room for 3 nights and it was perfect. The lake is beautiful and the grounds stretch to the water's edge. We've stayed at Storrs Hall a number of years ago but we won't be waiting so long for our next visit.
