The house was clean, spacious, fully furnished with everything we needed, and is located in a perfect spot right next to a store and near the train station. Our only issue was that the toaster did not work, and we weren't able to get any help when contacting the owner, however all of the other appliances were in good condition and we had no issues cooking. We had a really good time and would certainly consider this place again if we return to the lake district. Do note that one of the three bedrooms is only accessible through a narrow stairway, which wasn't a problem for us, but could be an accessibility issue for your group.

This is a lovely cottage and the location is great. We had a fantastic stay in Windermere. However, be aware that the street parking is only for an hour and so a paid carpark is needed, not free parking as advertised. I messaged Sykes Cottages about this issue twice and received no response so communication was unfortunately a problem. The cottage was also in the process of being cleaned when we arrived, despite this being after the check-in time.
