We had an amazing weekend at Merewood County House.It was in a great location. Our room was huge with a great view of the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and well set out. Merewood is a beautiful country house hotel. We had a perfect stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel and its grounds are just lovely. We ate in the Arboreal restaurant and, wow, what a treat that was. Really couldn't have been better

Exquisite hotel in a fantastic location, amazing staff made us feel so welcome. From the receptionist, barman, to the restaurant staff all super friendly and welcoming. We had originally booked a double bed, but they were out of stock, so they changed us to two rooms free of charge. Very kind of them.And the hotel has a very retro décor and a great atmosphere. You can play chess with friends by the warm fireplace while enjoying a beer. It's very pleasant

Absolutely wonderful staff, front of house host was lovely and very welcoming. Beautiful cosy atmosphere in the three social areas we visited (bar,lounge and library).
