Excellent B&B. Proximity to Bowness was a boon, 10 minutes easy walk. Room good and breakfast freshly cooked and delicious. Karin and Nigel were lovely hosts. Would definitely return.

Great place to stay

In a good location with free parking. Great view from window too.Very comfy clean rooms. Karol and Nigel were really welcoming and friendly and helpful on top of serving a fabulous breakfast. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return.

Perfect location and accommodation

A 2nd visit to Lingwood Lodge and equally as perfect, a friendly welcome with brilliant accommodation, breakfast, location and nice extra touches, like the DVD selection for kids on a rainy evening. Thank you both, we'll be back!

Lovely weekend break in May. Great location. On site parking , looking onto immaculate gardens. Premises spotlessly clean with lovely decor throughout. Breakfast wonderful with varied choices. Hosts were exceptional and we’ll definitely return here. Best place we’ve ever stayed in Bowness. Mr C O’Neill and party.

Good stay for 1 night

Small family B&B the best thing of which is the owner who's very helpful and attentive. Also the Wi-fi was very good and the bed is large (I'd say larger than double bed). The location is also good. But overall I think it's expensive for what it offers, there aren't any other amenities besides the breakfast and whenever the people from upstairs walked the whole ceiling was creaking. Generally sound proofing was poor.

Wonderful Windermere lodging!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful! Karol and Nigel are excellent hosts, our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean, and breakfasts were terrific. Personal assistance with travel in and out of town, free onsite parking, excellent wifi, and easy walking distance to many of the Windermere sites completed our wonderful visit. We could not recommend them more highly.

Lovely stay in a great hotel.

Lovely stay at this small friendly hotel. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious on both days. Just a short walk into Bowness centre. Highly recommended.

Fantastic

Could not have been better looked after. Most obliging and pleasant hosts.Also met with Domestic Lady who was most kind and helpful. Every where spotlessly clean. Lovely room / Comfortable bed. Bright and cheerful Breakfast Room . Breakfast not only delicious and plentiful but beautifully presented. Also a great location , just a matter of minutes from the Lake and plenty of shops,bars and places to eat. Looking forward to visiting again, would highly recommend. Also Covid aware.

We had a fabulous couple of days at Lingwood Lodge. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Whilst the en suite facilities were a little cramped they were adequate. We would recommend Lingwood Lodge to others on the basis of our experience.

Stayed there during summer break when temperature was around 25-28 deg C each day. The lodge was very clean, owners very friendly, good but limited breakfast menu and in a very good location within a short walk of the lake, town and ferries. However the lodge has no aircon and no cooling facilities whatsoever so the room was very hot and if you leave windows open there was noise outside from other guests and traffic. Unfortunately we hardly slept during the stay and the owners said they could not do anything, each day for us was a debate about whether we check out and go home but we just endured it for the sake of the kids. On cooler days the stay would be perfect or if they could provide some provision to help guests cool down would also be welcome. Lack of sleep during the stay unfortunately has resulted in the slightly lower rating.

I had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. It's only a couple of minutes walk to the shops and ferry and restaurants.

The host was very welcoming, friendly and informative. The room was exceptionally clean, very spacious and plenty of tea and coffee. The bathroom was really nice and clean too. Had a lovely view from the room with a massive window. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely especially the scrambled egg. The host at breakfast was very friendly and gave recommendations of were to eat out. The breakfast room itself was lovely, very clean and fresh looking. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place to stay

Owners were most helpful prior to our arrival and even booked restaurants for the first few days of our stay. Very short distance to the lake and restaurants (few minutes walk). Property is sitting further back from the main road so it is very quiet. Lovely breakfast. Car access is OK and there are enough parking spaces, nevertheless very steep driveway and relatively narrow access makes it a bit difficult at times. Would have liked more flexible breakfast times but social distancing meausers make that less possible (following government guidelines). There wasn't enough shower gel and body wash in the bathroom to last the whole week for four people so refreshing that a couple of times would have been great. Towels were changed everyday and plenty so that was great.
