Fantastic view of the cathedral from our room. However the room and hotel were a little tired. There were cracked tiles on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom light switch was in a dangerous condition…arcing at the slightest touch. There never appeared to be any staff available and the buffet breakfast…well, don’t bother paying for it! You can get a fabulous breakfast at one of the many cafes available nearby!

The view of Winchester Cathedral from my bedroom was amazing. All of the staff were extremely helpful and positive including promptly resolving air temperature issues in my room. The room was spotlessly clean. But the room felt rather tired with scratched and battered furniture and a dated bathroom. The decor in the bar and restaurant did not reflect the historic location of the building and seemed very generic and unimaginative

Adequate hotel - conveniently located in the centre of Winchester. About 15 min walk from the train station. The bus station is about 5 min away. Lot of good restaurants around especially if you like Nepalese food.The hotel will store your luggage for you if you ask them to. The only thing I didn't like was the pattern on the carpet on the first floor corridor - almost like a route map for robot vacuum cleaners to follow.
