Check in and check out staff were very nice and gave good recommendations about local eateries. Room was clean, easy to control thermostat that maintained temperature. Shower was AMAZING!! Water pressure was great and nice hot shower, best part of the room. Lobby was nice to hang out in as well. Definitely would come back and stay if in the area again.

It's hard to pick out one thing that makes the George Washington excellent. Is it the staff? Yes. But is it the ambiance of an historic hotel? Certainly. How about the location? For sure! Can it be the memories of past stays? Oh, yes as we always celebrate our anniversary in Winchester. What about the actual room? That jacuzzi and rain forest shower, king bed, and fireplace rocks! Here's an idea...put my excellent review to the test yourself!

A great stay! Staff and guests were all very friendly and accommodating with one exception. We called to make a reservation and had a weird chat with Jolene, an AI contraption. That put us off. We prefer humans. The shower was fantastic and the room, pool and hot tub were delightful. A very enjoyable stay.
