We really enjoyed our stay at Midland Railroad Hotel. It was very unique and very well restored to its original state. Staff was excellent and rooms were clean.
There was an issue where the property can’t see what is booked through Expedia so they put us in a queen when we booked a king. They quickly rectified this, put us in a king and waived our pet fees. Everything was excellent with this historical hotel. The location and amenities are top notch and it was such a fun, but interesting step back in time. Included breakfast was good and there a restaurant in the basement that is awesome! There were s art, chickens, historical monuments, and natural beauty. We had an amazing time and will stay again! Highly recommend this hotel especially when traveling with dogs❤️❤️
This property has tons of charm and character. The restaurant is good, the beds are comfy even if the front desk lady was a little surly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back if we find ourselves near Wilson again.
Liked: Charming and quaint stay, Easy check in. Lovely Queen bed with wooden floors and finishes with penny round tiles and chrome fixtures in bathroom. Fast wifi. Lovely silver tin filled with ice provided for a bottle of wine purchased at bar downstairs with wine glasses so we could relax while with Fido. Nice Kuerig coffee machine. Steps away from Czech egg! Very pet friendly and cute chickens in backyard! Would absolutely stay here again!
Dislike: Not much to dislike other than that the breakfast was very basic.
This is my second stay with dogs. (There is a $25 fee for first pet and $15 for each additional). Love it!
Super convenient location right in the middle of my Jansas transit, right off I-25. The historic hotel is beautiful as is the well maintained property. Lots of artistic interest, historic monuments, and Chickens!
The insure restaurant is DELICIOUS, the staff is friendly, the value is fair, and the included breakfast is excellent (homemade biscuits and gravy are off the hook!).
One thing is the beds are super firm so if you have a bad back like I do more than one night would be a challenge. But the bedding is so soft and comfy. Memory foam toppers would make these stays perfect!!
I can’t say enough about how much I love this place or recommend it more, I look forward to my next stay!
Beautiful and charming. Rooms were clean and so cute, staff was extra friendly, and the dinner was delicious. If we’re ever back in that area we will definitely stay again.
Very nice restaurant and bar and historical hotel. Interesting place to visit for one night.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Parking was easy. Parked on street in front of main entrance. Additional parking all around. No obvious problem with security. Stayed in March, so don’t know air conditioning status. Heating worked well.
This restored gem pleased us greatly. Not only is the property attractive, sparkling clean, well-managed and easy to get to, it’s a charming step back into history. Even the attached restaurant has history and a fine menu. We absolutely loved it and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet, friendly visit to a delightful town.
