This is a beautiful place to stay! It is a 19th century home on an avenue apparently called Millionaires Road, back in the day (or something like that), because it was a place of wealthy people building fancy homes. We enjoyed walking through a street of lovely grand old mansions and a lovely church and property as well. It was near shops and restaurants downtown.
The house itself was so beautifully furnished and painted, with accessories and artwork in every room that were just superb! We loved the old victrola in the house and the huge square grand piano, the lovely sitting room and dining room, and our room itself, the bridal suite, was simply exquisite.
We had a positive interaction with the staff. A small mistake at the beginning of our stay gave us directions to the wrong room but that was quickly and very courteously corrected and the young woman correcting it was very helpful to us later, directing us towards pretty fall color. A very positive and memorable experience!
(Note that this is not a bed and breakfast as breakfast is not served, however there is a kitchen for your use, granola and snack bars, some other things in the refrigerator, like milk and such, and oatmeal and dry cereal, tea, and a communal coffee pot with coffee available. They had also left a delicious pumpkin roll for us to enjoy. 😊)
