“The first time we ever stayed at an Home2. We thought the whole concept was very sterile and seemed institutional. There really was nothing that made us feel comfortable except for the staff. It was probably just not our taste in design. The breakfast was lacking as no gravy or grits in a Tennessee property. The only fruit was apples. So in the future we will not book a room in another Home2, but will stick with your Hampton or Embassy Suites.”

The male receptionist lied to us: we asked him to change the battery in the smoke/carbon monoxide detector because it was beeping constantly (typical when the battery is low), and he assured us he had done it, but he hadn't. We spent the entire night without sleeping due to the constant beeps. At check-out, the female receptionist checked the issue, apologized, and confirmed it was indeed a low battery.
