The hotel was very nice, with clean rooms and nice grounds. The breakfast was decent for just $5 for two people and even though some people complained on their reviews, I didn’t have any issues. We always use this Holiday Inn when visiting Williamsburg, which since our daughter attends William & Mary is several times a year. The hotel is consistently immaculate, with generously-sized rooms and friendly, competent and professional staff. The location makes it easy to get onto the W&M campus or visit Colonial Williamsburg, with the historic areas of Jamestown and Yorktown within a 30 minutes drive. Every time we stay here, I look for signs that housekeeping and maintenance have slipped a bit, but I never find any. Great location, great staff and over the top cleanliness ... what's not to love?

When I wanted to add a night they tried charging me 450$. Air conditioner was broken, and although they offered us to move it was 10pm and even though we chose not to move they were unapologetic about it. The hotel is old, but the room is well appointed. The one bright spot in the whole mix was the bartender was really nice and friendly. I would opt to stay somewhere else if I were you.
