A hidden gem

Peaceful, relaxing and good value. Although there was a wedding on, and we’re sure we weren’t the only ones staying it felt like we had the hotel to ourselves! Friendly staff, good swimming pool with sauna, steam room and changing facilities.

We paid for an executive room, it wasn’t worth the extra. Bed was very uncomfortable and had a dip in the middle, hairs on the bedding and towels, toilet seat was broken, extractor fan sounded like it was about to take off, the finishing touches just weren’t there. We usually stay in a standard room and far rate them over the executive. Facilities are excellent, common areas are nice and the staff are pleasant. Not our best stay here but satisfactory.

A lovely hotel with great facilities. The twin room was huge with plenty of space and really comfy beds! Good value breakfast with lots of options. We also used the pool which was an added bonus. Although mostly adults seemed to be staying in the hotel, my 3 year old was made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant and staff were great, friendly, efficient and inviting however the room was such a disappointment. The glasses were dirty, a previous guest had left a razor in the shower, the shower leaked as it wasn’t sealed, the bed wasn’t made properly so the ground sheet pulled away as the top covers were pulled back. Had to remake the bed
