Nice location, however bedroom and bathroom very very dated and standard of cleaning was poor. Signage inside and in the grounds was difficult to see. Money needs to be spent on refurbishment.

Booked at the last minute and excellent value for money. Wished I’d found it earlier as it is so much nicer than Travelodges I’ve stayed in before in this area. Can’t comment on other hotel facilities as l only stayed one night and left early next morning so didn’t eat. I would certainly return.

Beautiful Hotel

Overall I'm very happy with my stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff are excellent and even printed out some historic information for my son who is studying the Victorian era in school.

The room was lovely. Clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming but thin on the ground. Dinner was disappointing as only a lounge Menu was available but as i only wanted a simple Alternative it was quickly provided. Overall a pleasant 2 night break.

e was excellent, everyone we came into contact with was pleasant and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good, well cooked and served with a smile. The only down side was though the room was beautiful, the heated towel rail was not broken and the flush on the WC was poor, and some of the wallpaper was peeling in some areas. The hotel and its surroundings were truly picturesque. The rooms were spotless, and while the restaurant offered a limited selection, the overall experience was pleasant. However, one concern was the presence of dead flies on the restaurant’s window sill. Given the warm weather, this issue should have been addressed promptly to maintain cleanliness
