“This is a lovely little pub the grounds are well kept but unfortunately our bathroom was extremely damp and the smell was unbearable, we called reception and they came and sprayed in there but there was definitely an underlying issue going on as there was a big damp patch on the ceiling, there was also lots of cobwebs in the bedroom, the shower had very little power, the good points are the carpet was lovely and soft, the tv had a good signal, there was a mini fridge and tea & coffee making...

“A very cute place to stay in a lovely market town. Parking nearby (free on Sundays and overnight). Access to the rooms, due to the nature of the historic building, is not the easiest (uneven floors, narrow corridors and stairs). The room was absolutely lovely though; the bed was comfortable with quality bedlinen and pillows. The breakfast buffet was welcome - a small table and chair would have been welcome. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. “The staff are very helpful and parking behind pub very good. . Food to a high standard. Room was very comfortable with a large shower as requested. I am unable to use a bath so requested a shower due to my lack of mobility. The room had tea and coffee facilities and towels, robes and slippers BUT the bed, although comfortable, was extremely low. Apparently all the beds are the same height according to a member of staff. It caused a real problem in the night as I had to wake my husband twice...
