Lovely clean room , had a meal in the lounge bar lovely ambiance and plenty of room lovely fireplace lots of room to sit there are 3 different rooms you can eat we got shown the restaurant that was a lovely setting we had breakfast in there but we ate in the lounge , staff are very attentive polite and courteous very high standards looked after us very well , breakfast was lovely help yourself to continental items the they come over to take your hot breakfast plenty of choice could not fault any of it enjoyed the whole stay even though only 1 night will definitely be going back

Lovely old coaching inn with some charm and character sitting on the outskirts of Goathland. A ten minute walk gets you onto the old setting of the Heartbeat ITV series of the 1990- 2000 era. Friendly team and altogether a lovely relaxing place fora shortbreak

We’ve been going to the Mallyan Spout for 48 years and seen many transitions, but basically it stays the same. Keep the friendly Yorkshire customer care at the top of your agenda! This keeps it special.

Good hotel in a stunning area. Hotel is very dated with anaglypta wallpaper and old fashioned shower about a metal bath. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food very good especially the breakfast although evening menu is a little limited

The room was described as a “comfort room “ we loved it! It was surprisingly spacious enough, beautiful decor and soft furnishings. The bedding and towels quality were exceptional. Hospitality tray and outlook were lovely. If I had to give a small negative, there was a slight odour in the bathroom, from probably the cloths/ mops used to clean, a bit “ sweaty socks” type of odour which lingered. On another practical preference negative, the restaurant is beautiful, ambient and amazing service from the young well trained and mentored staff….but….the wine glasses were a let down, please provide sophisticated wine glasses? That would be great.

We stayed for one night to visit this lovely village. The staff were lovely. The property is very nice and has a great garden area to sit in this warm weather.The evening meal was first class as was the full Yorkshire breakfast.Will be staying again soon im sure.
