The accommodation was lovely and although in the town centre was still quiet & hidden away. Staff very all very helpful. Large room with sitting area too and a large bathroom.
Wonderful property
Plenty of room 2 excellent bedrooms 1 with on suites. Nice full kitchen and well situsted in town.
Parking could be awkward however we managed opposite the Endeavour pub and pay using the app £9.00 for 24 hours
We had a lovely couple of nights at Sanders Yard. A first stay in Whitby the location was perfect. We parked our car a 2 minute walk away and didn’t move it for the whole stay. Everything was within walking distance. We had a safe, fuss free contactless check in. Staying in room 1 of the B&B. Our room was a good size, lovely decorated with a unexpected roll top bath in our bathroom. A good selection of teas, coffees etc welcome biscuits and sweets. An all round lovely stay. We will most definitely be returning! Thank you Sandwr Yard 👌☺️
The Sanders Yard guesthouse is located in a great place near the abbey and in these strange times everything is totally contactless with no interaction with the hosts at all.
We had booked the Jade Attic room with private bathroom and whilst the room was spacious it was like negotiating an assault course with the various roof structures, which were even more difficult during the night. There seemed to be a lack of furniture in the room with only a weathered chest of draws and two weathered bedside units. The private bathroom was beautiful and whilst directly adjacent to the room, access to it wasn’t really private as it was open to the landing below and other guests.
Whilst we appreciate that times are difficult for the travel industry, we felt that £95 per night for a double room with a separate bathroom was overpriced and disappointing considering the various negative points.
Really lovely cottage, very clean and comfortable. Location is amazing right in the town centre on the cobbled streets. It's a very busy area and it felt a little strange that the bistro guests were sitting right outside our windows and frontdoor, but it wasn't particularly noisy because of it. The seagulls generate far more noise.
You are unable to park outside the cottage, parking is in the nearby public carpark a few minutes walk away. We paid £9 for each 24hr period.
A lovely quirky cottage. Small but very clean and inviting. Close to all amenities, down an alley off a lovely cobbled street. Breakfast at the Sanders Yard restaurant was great, staff very efficient and friendly.
It was a lovely cottage with everything we could want. However, we arrived an hour before we had been told checkin would end and found everything locked up. There was a note on the doorwith a number to call w hich we did. Our American phones were unreliable so for a bout an hour i thought we were going to walk the streets looking for another room.
Charming accommodation, though stairs a little hazardous and watch your head!
‘Wet-room’ facility very cramped, you will need to leave door open if over 6’ tall and on the toilet.
Overall though very good.

Average
Reception/entrance to rooms was tired..
It was an average room with no shower and a bath that leaked. We never saw anyone as we arrived late. Room was obviously pet friendly as I had missed this bit so my fault.. but it had a pet smell in the room which wasn’t the best. Defo 3star but the superb on reviews is generous. It’s average.
Lovely little place to stay! We ordered breakfast to be delivered to our kitchen which was late but they apologised and made up for it - mistakes happen! They have a menu for breakfast but allowed us to make requests which was great. The staff were lovely, the food was great in the bistro and location is great. A bit awkward unloading the car, but more the fault of the council and tourists and nothing to do with the hotel infact the staff helped us with our bags.
I would happily stay here again and recommend to anyone.
