The Whitby experience

Our stay was excellent , very friendly and helpful breakfast excellent plenty of choice. Rooms were well presented, on arrival some lovely cake was left in room . Overall a great experience

Great stay at Rosslyn House

My wife and I decided to take a break for couple of days in Whitby. Based on previous reviews we opted to stay at Rosslyn House and we were not disappointed. Lovely room and great location. Breakfast was beautiful to suit all diets. Would definitely stay there again.

On street parking with residents pass is available but there are several nearby guest houses so would recommend arriving at the property promptly if a very nearby space is required. Several nearby resterants and cafes. View of Whitby abbey from the front door. Convenient for all the sights.

Amazing stay! Martin and Vanessa could not have done any more eto make this perfect! Smashing breakfast, lovely attention to detail, fab comms to discuss arrival arrangements. Room was top notch, 2 slices of fresh carrot cake in the room, milk and water in the fridge. 1st class place to stay

Vanessa and Martin made us very welcome.The room and en-suite were imaculately clean.Cake,biscuits tea making in the room.Fridge with water and milk tv etc.The breakfasts were great with a good choice and fresh fruit salad and homemade jams.Would definitely stay here again.Thank you both Jayne and Alan

A warm weekend in Whitby

Rosslyn House is a very comfortable and spotlessly clean B&B run by a very welcoming and friendly couple. The breakfasts we had were superb and set us up for the day. The only negative we had was with the car parking. We arrived in Whitby on a very hot September day and the town was crammed with visitors. There was hardly a parking space to be found anywhere. An on street parking pass is provided by the proprietors but I had to park on a municipal car park overnight and pay. Luckily I found an on street parking spot not too far from the Rosslyn the next day. The Rosslyn is located close to the promenade at West Cliff and only 10 minutes walk from the town centre.

Bank Holiday Stay
